A short history overview...

Camp's pickles vegetables, grinds mustard and prepares piccalilly (Belgian Pickles). For over more than 100 years. With respect for our history, we look to the future. Through open communication we tend to build long term relationships with our customers, suppliers and the community.
2022
In 2022 Camp's succeeded with 2 local Initiatives to harvest & dry Belgian mustardseeds. We developped a special recipe to celebrate this achievement!

2018
In 20218 we worked together with 2 local farmers to reinstall the harvest of belgian mustardseeds, since this crop was no longer available in Belgium since the end of 90s..
We lost a lot of experiences during the absent of locally harvested mustardseeds, but we learned from our project in 2018 and used that experience to relaunch our plans in 2022.
2017
Milestone for Camp’s!
We got our IFS higher level certificate.

1914-1918
Europe suffers from the first World War. A part of the German strategy is to block all trade from and to the UK from the continent. Louis couldn't import the sauce for his piccalilly anymore.
The Belgian pickles (piccalilly) of Camp's where already so successful he decided to make the sauce himself.
1910
Louis didn't want to waste the smaller pieces of pickled vegetables who were too small to sell in the jars. In England he discovered piccalilly and decided to import this sauce to Belgium.
Piccalilly is in fact an asian sauce with ingredients as turmeric, which we didn't now in Europe. Louis poured this sauce over his pickled vegetables, the Belgian pickles where born!
Louis goot deze saus over zijn gepekelde groenten.
Dit is meteen ook de start van de Belgische Pickles !

1905
Louis Van Camp starts his own company. He pickles fresh vegetables with vinegar .
Camp’s was born!
More than 100 years later, we still use his recipes and experience to make 100% natural products.
